Bloggers Kid Fury and Crissle, who discuss hip hop and pop culture's most trying stars on their weekly podcast, The Read, are joining millions of Americans by going purple for Spirit Day to stand against bullying and show support for LGBT youth. In a recent episode of the podcast, Kid Fury and Crissle discuss why they are participating in Spirit Day.

"Anti-bullying is something that I'm very passionate about, and I'm very happy and honored to be a part of this campaign, so go purple with us on October 17," said Kid Fury.

"Join us as we go purple to stand against bullying on October 17," said Crissle. "Check out glaad.org/spiritday, or the hashtag, #spiritday. We will be going purple in support of the anti-bullying movement, especially against our LGBT youth, because that is our responsibility as adults."

You can see more updates from Kid Fury and Crissle by following The Read on Twitter and Facebook. Kid Fury and Crissle are also writing at their respective blogs, sofurious.com and crissle.com. Be sure to join them on October 17 by taking the pledge to go purple for Spirit Day!
